|
Saturday August 31st will herald the start of the 2013-14 Bedfordshire County Football Season with a reduced programme of just nine games. The action will commence at 11.00am in the morning when newly promoted Eastcotts AFC entertain Henlow in a Division One game at Weston Park. Whilst just three hours later history will be made with the leagues first ever match on a 3G surface when AFC Oakley Sports M&DH are the visitors to face Flitwick Town in Premier Division supported by Sportsform action at their new Redborne School base.
Back at Weston Park, it's a 2.30pm kick off as Wootton Blue Cross mark their return to the league with a home Premier Division supported by Sportsform fixture against newly promoted Pavenham. Whilst other top flight action comes at Renhold Playing Fields, where likely championship challengers begin their campaign with a home outing against Lidlington United Sports and over at Jubilee Playing Fields, Wilstead receive a visit from AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College. Both games kicking off at 2.30pm. The other four fixtures all being Division One action, again kicking off at 2.30pm. For newly relegated Bedford Sports Athletic, its home action against newly promoted Sundon Park Rangers. Whilst for another of the promoted clubs Bromham United, it's home action against Caldecote Reserves. Elsewhere, it's a case of old adversaries meeting up. In Mowsbury Park, Brickhill Tigers will be playing hosts to Sandy and at Chaul Lane End, Luton Boys Seniors receive a visit from Elstow Abbey. Action will then move onwards to Wednesday evening September 4th with four games in the Premier Division supported by Sportsform section. The top game of the night on paper looks to be the Rectory Road clash between hosts Shefford Town & Campton and the visiting Ickwell & Old Warden. Whilst at Jubilee Playing Fields, Wilstead play their second home game of the season when called upon by defending champions Caldecote. It's also a second home game of the season for Renhold United who will be playing hosts to Marston Shelton Rovers and at Lodge Road, Sharnbrook kick off their campaign with a visit from Lidlington United Sports.
