Potton Wanderers Now Top Division Three Table
Its been a good mid-week for Potton Wanderers as following their 5-1 win at Sandy A on Monday evening they then with goals from Joe Aris, James Hearson and Nick Cooper won 3-1 at Meltis Corinthians Reserves on Wednesday evening to now lead the Division Three table by two points from Kings AFC who have three games in hand on them and four points clear of Blue Chip who have two games in hand.

The only Premier Division mid-week action saw Meltis Corinthians climb to fourth spot in the table after a Wednesday evening 3-1 win at Caldecote, Alec Woolston with a brace and Anup Kalayan their marksmen to a reply from Dave Coleman.

In Division One Supported By Sportsform,third place Bedford SA were made to fight all the way before winning 3-2 at bottom club Elstow Abbey, James Dougan, James Allen and Ashley Mead netting the goals against replies from Anthony Hubbard and Stuart Russell, the points taking The Army Boys to within two points of league leaders Henlow and within a single point of second place Dunton having played a game less than both of them.

In Division Two, Monday evening saw league leaders Bedford College remain three points clear of Meltis Albion but having played a extra game when goals from Yuadi Ichichana, Kevin Rogers, Josh Bamford and an own goal took them to a 4-0 victory at Clifton, whilst following a 1-1 draw at Oakley Sports Reserves on Monday evening, Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves climbed to third spot in the table on Wednesday evening when they ended Meppershall Jurrasic nine game winning away record with a 4-3 win on The Green, Craig Richards and Jamie Mcgreggor putting The Jurrasic 2-0 up before a Andrew Vallom penalty reduced the arrears a minute from the break, Craig Damon then made it 3-1 in the visitors favour before home goals from Andrew Vallom, Ricky Aris and Danny Fox took the home side to victory.

At the bottom of the table, its been a good week for Woburn Reserves who not only climbed off the base of the table but moved to within three points of a safety spot after two wins, on Monday winning 3-2 at Saffron before goals from Nick Skolsky and Luke Broadbent took them to a 2-1 home win over Great Barford fourty-eight hours later.

Other action on Monday evening in Division Three saw Riseley Sports Reserves with goals from Tommy Dove and Ian Whitmore earn a 2-1 home win over Marabese Ceramics whose reply came from Michael Darnell, the clubs thus swapping fifth and sixth spots in the league table.
