Blunham Early Leaders Of Premier Division
Blunham emerged has the early pacesetters at the head of The McGirls Money Management Supported Premier Division when following their weekend win at Meltis Corinthians they run out mid-week 3-0 home winners over Sandy with goals from Paul Damon, Nicky Threadgold and Paul Jones, meanwhile The Sweetboys found life easier on the road with a comfortable 4-0 success at AFC Kempston Town, Justin Patterson leading the way with a hattrick alongside a goal from Dean Warren.

Chasing Blunham at the top of the table are Ickwell & Old Warden plus Caldecote who after weekend wins played out a 1-1 draw on The Green, Ricky Aris on the scoresheet for the home side with Matt Basta replying for Caldecote.

Elsewhere, Renhold United and Wilshamstead got their seasons underway with victory's, United 4-1 at Riseley Sports with two goals from Darren Horn who later missed a penalty which would have brought up his hattrick and goals from Richard Morris and Ron Belfon whilst Wilshamstead were 3-1 home winners over Luton Borough with goals from Kevin Ashbury, Kevin Butler and Paul Jones.

After losing at home at the weekend to AFC Kempston Town last seasons league champions Westoning Recreation Club got back to winning ways with a 3-0 away win at Woburn whilst Sharnbrook and Oakley Sports saw their Lodge Road encounter end 0-0.

In The Sportsform Supported Division One action, Westoning Recreation Club Reserves went to the top of the table after their 4-2 home win over AFC Kempston Town Reserves took them to their second victory of the week, Tony Millioti and Ed L'erario The Town marksmen.

Elsewhere the top scorers of the night were Reddings Wood 5-0 home winners over Marston Social where Jimmy Grandidge stuck four times and Kevin Simlow once whilst Dunton, Caldecote Reserves and Henlow all begun their season with 1-0 wins, Dunton with a late goal from Wayne Morris winning 1-0 at Sandy Reserves, Henlow with a goal from Graham Leger winning at Campton Reserves and James Smith was Caldecote Reserves hero with a goal in their home win over Bedford SA.

Meanwhile, Kempston with goals from Steve Trainer, Leonard Metollari and Jamie Carson were 3-0 winners at Royal Oak Kempston and Elstow Abbey and Flitwick Town played out a 1-1 draw, Antony Hubbard netting for The Abbey and Mark Bartlett for The Town.

The lone game in Division Two brought about the most goals of the night when Oakley Sports Reserves emerged 5-4 winners at Newham Athletic, Rob Taylor with a hattrick and Lee Munns with a brace the Oakley marksmen against replies from Garry Russon twice, Ben Young and a own goal.

Meltis Albion Top The Division Two Table


Action on Bank Holiday Monday in Division Two saw Meltis Albion continue their fine start to the season when a brace of goals from Scott Alleyne plus a goal from Michael Butler took them to a 3-0 home win over Woburn Reserves, whilst also winning their second game of the Hoilday Weekend were Marston Shelton Rovers and Bedford College, The Rovers netting a 4-0 home win over Lidlington United Sports where Tony Brittain netted twice alongside Mark Champkin and Aaron Franks whilst Bedford College were 5-2 home winners over Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves, Sany Guri grabbing a hattrick supported by goals from Neil Mangan and Martin Ivy with Ricky Aris and Lewis Giddings replying for the men fron The Green.

Elsewhere, Putnoe United got their season underway with a 3-0 win at Great Barford thanks to a brace of goals from Jonny Overden and a strike from Cullum Lewis and relegated Saffron begun life in division two with a 4-2 home win over Meppershall Jurrasic with strikes from Daniel Luke, Somon James, Rizwan Sharif and Mohammed Raheem, but their was no such beginning for league newcomers Renhold Village who were beaten 1-0 at home by Mulberry Bush whose goal came from Sam Queeley.

The final scheduled fixture in this division Clifton v Blunham Reserves being called off due to Blunham being unable to raise a side.

Their was plenty of goals around in Division Three with Meltis Corinthians Reserves leading the way with a 7-0 away win at Lidlington United Reserves, thanks to braces of goals from Martize Clarke and Aaron Hazelwood plus goals from Steve Holt, Aaron Ram and Alex Woolston, not far behind them were Flitwick Town Reserves 5-0 home winners over Stewartby Village, Ben Wallington hitting a hattrick to be supported by goals from Mark Bartlett and James Taylor, also hitting five were Potton Wanderers 5-1 winners over Sandy A thanks to a Nick Cooper hattrick and a brace from Charlie Seward.to a lone reply from Tom Smith.

Elsewhere both Caldecote A and Wilshamstead Reserves won for the second time, Wilshamstead Reserves winning 4-1 at Twinwoods Thistle with braces of goals from Craig Cameron and Chris Askew to a Thistle reply from Barry Hannam whilst Caldecote A were 1-0 home winners over AFC Shillington.

Meanwhile Carl Townsend was the hero for Blue Chip scoring all four goals in their 4-3 away win at Kings AFC for whom Nathan Clements hit a hattrick whilst Exel United claimed a 3-0 victory at league newcomers Hartwell thanks to goals from John Merry, Julian Caves and Ashley Dalton and Marsh Leys came from a goal down to net a 3-1 home win over Riseley Sports Reserves with two goals from Padani Welsh and a strike from Simon Wade after Sportsmens Chris Lander had giving his side the lead.
