Action Round-Up Wednesday 17th April 2013.
With just six games left to play Caldecoteâ??s lead at the head of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform league table is now down to just four points after their six game winning run was brought to an end when held to a 1-1 draw at Wilshamstead. Tom Cookman shooting them ahead in the opening half before Paul Jones squared matters for the home side 20 minutes into the second period.

Now up into second spot are Renhold United who made it seven wins on the bounce with a 4-2 victory at Ickwell & Old Warden.Scott Joseph and Serge Kadji both netting twice against home replies from Andy Smith and Carl Ashwell.

For Lidlington United, it was a fifth home loss on the bounce when beaten 1-0 by Bedford Hatters for whom Keith Thomas netted. Whilst just down the road, Marston Shelton Rovers returned to winning way with a 1-0 home victory over Flitwick Town thanks to a strike from Ross Woolhead.

Elsewhere, Bedford Sports Athletic sent the near perfect tonic to their secretary Bob Andrews who was admitted into hospital earlier in the week when they gained their first home point of the season with a 1-1 draw against AFC Biggleswade.Josh Murray shooting The Waders ahead in the opening half only to see Ian Asplin level matters in the second period.

In Division One, Shillingtonâ??s title hopes were dealt a big blow when their 10 game winning home run was ended in a 1-1 draw with Brickhill Tigers. Jordan Dorocha on the scoresheet for the home side whose lead at the head of the table is now just five points over a Leighton United side who have played two games fewer.

Elsewhere, bottom of the table AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves still await their first home win of the season after a 90th minute plus three goal from Travis Joseph took Elstow Abbey to a 3-2 victory and their third away win on the bounce to move into sixth spot in the league table.Jason Harrison and Ed Lâ??Erario also on the Abbey scoresheet, whilst the home replies came via Elliot West and Carmine Cientanni.

The Division Two title race remains well and truly wide open after current league leaders Marabese Ceramics were beaten 5-0 at home by Queens Park Crescents, Shah Rahman with a brace plus goals from Edo Danji, Muhammed Zahar and Cameron Brown doing the damage.

This defeat allowing second place Goldington to move to within two points of them plus have a game in hand after they took their unbeaten ways to eight games with a 5-4 victory at Cranfield United Reserves.Justin Muircroft, James Morris, Kevin Evans, Ben Flatters and Michael Luke bringing up their nap hand against home replies via David Anderson twice plus Mark Griffiths and Steve Mullen.

Down at the other end of the table, Stopsley Park climbed out of the bottom two at the expense of Meltis Albion after ending their six game losing run with a 4-3 victory at St Joseph Reserves who have now lost their last four home games, Nathan Henry netting twice alongside Simon Richards and Jason Penman against home replies from Shea Gentle-King, Craig Nash and Ben Rowley.

Bottom spot still being held by Westoning who suffered defeat number nine on the bounce when beaten 3-2 by a Bromham United side who are now unbeaten in their last eight away outings.Dave Baxter, Darren Payne and Ben Robinson on Unitedâ??s scoresheet against home replies from Thomas Cooksley and Dean Gadsden.

Elsewhere, Potton United Reserves eased their relegation fears by sharing the points in a 4-4 home draw with Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves. John Vooght twice plus Jack Clayton and Dan Brown on the United scoresheet against a hat-trick from Alex Liburd and a strike from Jamie Endersby marking the visitors scoresheet.

Action Round-Up Monday 15th April 2013.
Action tonight saw Oakley Sports M&DH only close the gap at the head of The Premier Division supported by Sportsform league table on Caldecote to five points after they were held to a 3-3 home draw by Shefford Town & Campton who had twice during the contest come from a goal down to led 3-2 until the home side squared matters in the 90th minute of the game. Arran Wright, Jack Goodacre and Ali Smith on the home scoresheet against Town strikes from Joe Lewis, Jon Ranson and Stevie Yessian.

Down at the other end of the table, Sharnbrook ended a run of six straight away defeats when winning 3-0 at Lidlington United Sports who were thus suffering their fourth home defeat on the bounce. Jordan Baxter, Darren Minney and Stevie Yessian netting the goals to now take Sharnbrook to within one point of AFC Biggleswade in the league standings.

In Division Three, Renhold United Reserves climbed the table into third spot and perhaps took over the mantle of title favourites with a 3-2 home win over Great Barford,their sixth win on the bounce. An own goal plus strikes from Justin Newman and Daniel Luke doing the damage against replies from Josh St Clair Pierre and Ben Stock.

Other Division Three action saw Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves return to winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over Dunton. Gavin Stackman and Joe Rowley on their scoresheet.

In Division Four, both Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves and Kempton Athletic kept the pressure on Elstow Abbey Reserves in the run-in for the seasons silver medals with home wins. Third Place Rovers defeating Shefford Town & Campton A to record their 10th home win on the bounce thanks to a brace of goals from Ben Greenwood. Whilst The Athletic won 4-1 against Dinamo Flitwick. Gary Whitbread claiming a hat-trick alongside a goal for Mo Banda against a lone reply from Jake Taylor.

However, the top scorers of the night were Caldecote A who run out 5-1 home winners over a Flitwick Town Reserves who were suffering their ninth consecutive away defeat, Ben Gibson and Scott Allum striking in the first half to shoot them 2-0 ahead before the goal of the night in the 50th minute from Town's Lewis Cadman brought the deficit back to a single goal until Joe Stevens made it 3-1 in the 61st minute before substitute Tom Wallace with a brace in the 75th and 90th plus one minute brought up the nap hand. It would have been six had not Sean Boyd had his 84th minute penalty saved by Town goalkeeper Will Stone.

Elsewhere, after four straight wins all away from home Kempston Con Club Sports were beaten 1-0 on home soil by Sandy Reserves. Their third consecutive home defeat on the bounce.

Wednesday 10th April 2013 Action Round-Up.
Premier Division supported by Sportsform action saw second place Ickwell & Old Warden have their seven game winning run ended when held to a home 1-1 draw by Shefford Town & Campton. Dean Hamilton heading the home side in front after 55 minutes before Adam Larsen levelled matters up just 17 minutes from time.

For third place Renhold United, it was win number five on the bounce with a 3-2 victory at bottom of the table Bedford Sports Athletic. Scott Joseph, Jason Allison and Ben Brown on the United scoresheet against home replies from Graham Abbot and Matthew Stapleton. Also edging closer to summit of the league table were fourth place Oakley Sports M&DH who took their unbeaten home ways up to six games with a 2-1 victory over second from bottom of the table Sharnbrook. Ali Smith and Mark Smith netting the goals against a lone reply from Stevie Yessian.

However for fifth place Arlesey Town Reserves it was a 3-1 defeat at Flitwick Town. Richie Bevan with a brace plus Chris Bull netting for the home side against a Luke Sharples reply. Whilst sixth place AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College have now lost their last three home games after they were defeated 1-0 by Bedford Hatters for whom Aaron Cavill struck the vital goal.

Division Two action brought about a shock home 4-3 defeat for title chasing Sundon Park Rangers against St Joseph Reserves who were thus ending a six game losing run.Matthew Conway twice and an own goal making a mark on the home scoresheet against St Joe's replies via Kieran Doherty twice plus Lewis Ross and Ben Rowley.Whilst Bromham United took their unbeaten ways up to seven games with a 2-1 win at bottom of the table Meltis Albion. Shane Canzano and Ben Robinson on the United scoresheet against an Albion reply from Shaun Gilbert.

For Woburn Athletic its now six games unbeaten and a move up the league table into fifth place after winning 2-1 at Cranfield United Reserves who are now without a win from their last six outings. United's cause not helped when goalkeeper Darren Ayre was red carded in the very opening minute of the game but with substitute goalkeeper Cael Pursaud saving the resulting penalty from Daniel McClaren all was not lost until Safari Boys goals from Martin Holland and Ben Nichols against a home reply from Steve Mullen won the day for the visitors.

In Division Three, Great Barford did their title/promotion hopes a power of good with a 5-4 victory at Steveington. David Mulvhill leading the way with a hat-trick and supported by goals from Charlie Rogers and Owen Layton against home replies via an own goal plus Colm Lawlor, Adrian Fletcher and Jordan McMullan.

Outside the league, Shillington booked their place in the final of this seasons East Beds Charity Cup Final against Clifton with a 1-0 win over Potton United Reserves thanks to a goal from Adrian Fontenelle.
