Action Round-Up Wednesday 3rd April 2013.
Ickwell & Old Warden closed the gap on league leaders Caldecote at the head of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform league table to just five points when taking their current winning ways up to six games with a 10-0 victory at bottom of the table Bedford Sports Athletic.Andrew Vallom netting seven times alongside strikes from Lee Threadgold, Matthew McCartney and Jamie Scotcher.

Now sitting in third spot just a point adrift but with two games in hand on Ickwell & Old Warden and a game in hand on Caldecote are Oakley Sports M&DH, for them it was a 5-1 away win at Sharnbrook who were suffering their ninth defeat on the bounce. Shaun Barnett hitting a hat-trick alongside goals from Aaran Wright and George Cox, whilst the home reply came via a Robert Nash own goal.

For now fourth place Arlesey Town Reserves, after three consecutive home defeats it was a 1-0 home win over Shefford Town & Campton thanks to a strike from Sam Welbury just 20 minutes into the game.

All these new league placings coming about after AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College dropped down the table into fifth place after being beaten 4-1 at home by Wilshamstead.Paul Jones netting a hat-trick and joined on the scoresheet by Kevin Butler against a home reply via Paul Garrett, the winners ending the game with just 10 men after Luke Stone received his marching orders for two yellow card offences on the hour mark.

Elsewhere, Renhold United kept themselves of the fringe of the championship race by winning 2-1 at Marston Shelton Rovers. Dean Warren and Serge Kadji netting the vital goals against a Rovers reply from Jim Burraway.

In Division Two action, Eastcotts AFC remain fourth in the league table and still very much in the promotion race after a goal from Ciaran Alexander 62 minutes into the game took them to a 1-0 home win over St Joseph Reserves. For fifth place Woburn Athletic, it was a 5-2 away win at second from bottom of the table Westoning who have now lost their last six games.Daniel McClaren and Lewis Murray both netting twice alongside Martin Holland against home replies from Sam Child and Danny Ryan.

Elsewhere, Queens Park Crescents six game winning run was brought to an end when held to a 1-1 home draw by Bromham United. Edo Danji on the home scoresheet against a United reply from Ben Robinson. Whilst Cranfield United Reserves still remain unbeaten on home soil after drawing 3-3 with Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves, Steve Mullen, Craig Cameron and James Armstrong on the home scoresheet against replies from Daniel Lupton, Chris Patrickson and David Miljkovoc.

The lone Division Four action seeing Wootton Village remain on the bottom of the league table after being beaten 3-2 at home by a Kempston Con Club Sports side winning for the first time in five outings. Adam Flynn firing the Village ahead on the half-hour mark before Tom Wheelhouse levelled matters nine minutes into the second period. A stunning header from Flynn restored The Villageâ??s lead four minutes later only for a brace of goals from Ryan Collis to win the day for the visitors.

Cup joy for Caldecote Reserves. 2nd April 2013
Caldecote Reserves tonight earned themselves in a place in the semi-final of this seasons East Beds Charity Cup against Potton United Reserves on Wednesday 10th April 2013 at Second Meadow, Biggeswade United FC with a 3-0 victory at Shillington. Aaron Kersey, Jordan Goodman and George Melrose shooting home the goals.

Easter Monday 1st April 2013 Action Round-Up
Caldecote took their lead at the head of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform league table up to eight points by recording their fourth win on a bounce in winning 3-2 at Bedford Hatters who were losing for the third consecutive time on home soil. Jack Boyd netted all the visitors goals against home replies from Dean Lebrecht and Jason Simons.

Whilst Renhold United maintained their chances of a top three finish with a 3-1 win over Lidlington United Sports. Jason Allison opening the scoring in the eighth minute before Keiren Wills levelled matters 11 minutes from half-time and that's the way it stayed until Allison netted again eight minutes from time and Scott Joseph added a third goal right on the final whistle to in effect send Lidlington to only their second home defeat of the season if you count playing a home game on your opponents ground a home defeat.

Division Two action brought about wins for the top two clubs, league leaders Goldington taking their unbeaten ways up to six games with a 2-1 win at Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves thanks to goals from Chris Huckle and Justin Muircroft against a home reply from Carl Warner. Whilst Marabese Ceramics have now won their last seven away games after emerging 2-1 victors at Stopsley Park who remain in third from bottom position after this their fifth loss on the bounce. Lewis Littlechild and Michael Cook on the scoresheet against a Park reply from Nathan Henry.

Elsewhere, Bromham United climbed up into sixth place following their 4-1 victory at St Joseph Reserves. Shane Canzano, Ben Robinson, Paul Hubbard and Sam Jones all finding the back of the net against a lone home reply from Tom Moloney.

In Division Three, Potton Town's lead at the head of the league table is now down to just three points after they were beaten 1-0 at Renhold United Reserves who despite only sitting sixth in the league table with all their games in hand are themselves still right there in the championship/promotion race. Scott Joseph having his second game of the day netting the only goal just 16 minutes into the contest.

That lead reduced to those three points after second place Riseley Sports won 4-0 at second from bottom of the table Kempston Hammers Sports. However, for third place Clifton it was a shock home defeat by a 2-1 scoreline against Wilshamstead Reserves. Jay Hall and Paul Jones on target for the victors against a home reply via Ricky Harris.

Now up into fourth place are Westoning Reserves who are now unbeaten in their last five starts after winning 1-0 at home against Stevington thanks to a goal from Sean O'Donnell.
